Today is our 10 month anniversary!

After posting yesterday, we went back out and took a taxi to Morning Star Resort Beach in St. Thomas, and it was a beautiful beach – soft sand, turquoise water and HOT sun!

This morning, we docked in Tortola, an island which is part of the British Virgin Islands. We signed up for an excursion that took us over to another island called Virgin Gorda, where we took a short bus ride to a place they call The Baths. From our bus ride, it seemed that Gorda is a little less developed and probably poorer than some of the other places. The Baths is a section of beach where enormous rocks have formed caves and pathways along the beach that you can walk through and explore. They were really amazing, as were the beaches. There were a few too many huge jellyfish for us to stay in the water too long, but other than that, the beach was perfect. Also, like the cats in San Juan, there were wild chickens and roosters running around everywhere on Virgin Gorda. Weird. So…unfortunately, we didn’t really see Tortola, but we hear it is beautiful.

We’ve set sail heading back to New York, a two-and-a-half day trip that will probably go by too fast. I think we’ll be ready to get off this boat by that time, but we plan to have some fun in our last few days. Sorry for the lack of pictures, but internet time is expensive, and it would take too long to download them all.
